Location is perfect close to beach and mainstreets.
It's the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in. They have a lot of cleaning people, cleaning kitchen, toilets and shower rooms regularly.
I really appreciated this as I was nervous to stay in a hostel because I like clean toilets/showers.
The beds were comfortable and have privacy curtains on each bunk and your own bed light, 1electric socket, 2 usb charging connectors.
A lot of space in the kitchen to cook and store some food in the cupboards...

Absolutely loved our stay at Hostal Grau.
The hotel is decorated so well throughout and is very clean.
Also in a great central location, only a few minutes walk to La Rambla and metro stations.
There are a couple of lovely communal areas to sit and chill, read, play cards etc.
There is also the rooftop terrace with honesty bar which was great - a sun trap when the sun was out! And another lovely area to sit and read, with a drink.
Breakfast was lovely - a really good selection and the staff...

Was really helpful in an emergency as my original flight home was delayed and I had to sort out two nights somewhere, this was a pretty cheap option but the place and facilities were really well kept.
I hadn’t stayed in a hostel and shared room before but circumstances meant I couldn’t be picky, but the others in my room were friendly and no problem at all. I slept pretty well.
Where it’s at is a bit quieter than some other areas in the city

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here. The location is central - just 5 minutes' walk from the Liceu station. This place felt more like a friend's house than a hostel. The rooms are simple, with basic but comfortable furnishings. I had an ensuite that again was basic yet functional. There is a great lounge area and a fully equipped kitchen. They offer one of the best value breakfasts I have had in a long time. I would certainly consider staying there again.
