"We really enjoyed our stay at Arlo Midtown overall. The location is fantastic and made getting around New York very easy. The complimentary breakfast was a huge bonus and a great way to start each day. The bed was extremely comfortable, the linens were excellent, and we slept really well. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. We also really appreciated being given a complimentary late checkout on our final day—it made our departure day much easier.
There were a couple of disappointments. We requested an early check-in and were told they would let us know when the room was ready, but we never heard back. It felt like we may have been forgotten, and we ultimately checked in at the regular 3 PM time.
The other issue was housekeeping. Our room wasn’t cleaned during the day, and when we asked about it, we were told it was scheduled to be cleaned after 4 PM. By that point, we were back in the room getting ready for the evening, so it was simply too late. This was especially disappointing because I had left a tip for housekeeping.
Despite those issues, the great location, comfortable room, breakfast, friendly staff and complimentary late checkout made this a very good stay overall."
