The staff was great and the breakfast was reasonable. The room was clean and while amenities were limited, we did not need much for a comfortable night's sleep. The air conditioning worked well and the staff was helpful. The only problem we found was that the bathroom door would not fully open unless the toilet seat was up!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this property while we were visiting the sites in New York City. There were some things that we found an issue with but we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to people if they are visiting the city. Pros: - There's no "resort" fee like many places like to charge so the rates are reasonable. - The check in staff was very accommodating when we got there a little early and didn't make us wait. - The bed was comfortable, albeit there was no a lot of room to maneuver around the tight room. - Water pressure and hot water were great! - Quiet on the 4th floor - Stairs were easily accessible if you wanted a little workout - 5 minute walk to Intrepid! - 10 minute walk to the closest metro and there are always a lot of people walking around so we felt very safe any time we were out Cons: - The "free" breakfast was really mediocre. We tried to eat there one morning and what was they had for hot breakfast was tator tots and egg patties like you would use on an egg sandwich. Only white bagels and bread were available. There was a cereal bar and a waffle station but the waffle station only made 1 waffle at a time and there was a waiting line. We skipped the free breakfast and ate out - The wifi connection was never reliable enough to do much but occasionally check email. Browsing was pretty slow and forget trying to stream! We ended up with better service on our 5G phones. - The bathroom is tiny. If you open the door, you'll hit the toilet

This hotel was clean and located within walking distance of some cute eateries. The staff however was not the greatest. They didn’t seem to know how to process tax exempt forms. Additionally, on the morning of check out some loudly banged on my door at 10:50 and asked if I was checking out ( check out was 11). I stayed I was and then the staff person opened the door on me. Luckily my upper lock was on, yet the person still continued trying to look at me inside the room. I again repeated i would be checking out in 10 minutes and he left. while cost effective and in an okay area I didn’t completely feel safe.

I didn't like the fact that the sheets were not laundered; they were ruffled and there were hairs in the bed. The toilet was stained and, for my second night, the bed was not made. Also, coffee was not replenished. I have a concern that the hotel has taken two payments for this sub-standard stay.

Convenient location. Easy in and out of NYC. Was given a room on the first floor, being right off the line by it was NOISY! View was terrible.
