"This hotel was a case of not as good as I hoped upon booking, but not as bad as I feared upon arrival. My overarching feeling is regret that I paid more than $200 a night for a TINY room with no dresser and nowhere to effectively store belongings (the underbed drawers are already full). As a solo traveler i found the room decidedly cramped. I can’t remember the last time I stayed in a room so small. It was the size of a single room occupancy residential hotel. However, the staff were really nice. They were the brightest spot of my stay. 😊 There is no parking. I hunted for street parking and found none. What this means is that one night I paid $30 to park until 11am directly across the street from the hotel - and $20 the next night about 1.5 long blocks away. The psychedelic decor (for lack of a better term) made me dizzy & claustrophobic upon arrival. I’ve never had that response to a hotel in my life and I travel frequently. It was disorienting. I didn’t care for it. The hotel made me feel old. And I’m only 44 years old. I did like the way I could hit a setting on the provided iPad and the whole room would go dark. I was in LA to work, and was dead tired at night, but had no problem sleeping and found the bed to be comfortable. There was no bathtub. Shower only. 🙁 The breakfast looked better than it tasted. Much to my chagrin I paid for a premium room and could only wonder if this was premium, what was standard? I would not stay again. But staff was great. "

"An amazing option if you want to save a ton of money but stay near the downtown area. Amazing pool, nice lobby, and really great to have two bathrooms + shower in each room. It is a bummer that you can't eat or drink outside food in the lobby or at the rooftop, but there is a common area in the basement where you can heat up your food, etc. However, with this low rate, you can't really complain about anything. "

"We stayed at this location on our most recent trip to Universal Studios and were so pleasantly surprised. It was a great location, a convenient walk to the amusement park, and staff were all above and beyond. By far the best of our recent California trip. We will definitely stay here again. Spent a lovely evening and morning at the pool, which our kiddos loved. Highly recommend! "

"The room was big, comfortable, and clean. Loved the 24 hour coffee/ hot chocolate and flavored water station. We didn't have any issues with the virtual check in either. I would stay there again!"
