John Carver Inn & Spa

8/10 Good

"We had a lovely stay at John Carver Inn and really enjoyed our visit! There were just a few things that could be improved: 1. Bathroom towels: Our room only had one towel hook next to the shower, with nowhere else to hang towels to dry. There was plenty of empty wall space for a few additional hooks or a towel bar. 2. Water slide hours: The slide didn’t open until 11 a.m., which is also checkout time. It would be nice if it opened earlier so families could enjoy it on their last morning. 3. Fire alarm: During our stay, the fire alarm went off, but we could barely hear it inside our room. We only realized something was happening when we reached the pool corridor, where the alarm was much louder and lights were flashing. We evacuated and saw firefighters and staff outside, but never received any explanation. Thankfully, everything seemed fine, but I think the hotel should review the alarm audibility in guest rooms and improve communication during emergencies. Overall, we had a great stay, and I hope this feedback is helpful. These relatively small improvements could make an already lovely experience even better! We look forward to returning."
