Check in was unique, very personalized and not your usual "here's your room key and there are the elevators". We received a cold sweet drink and cold towels which was most welcoming, and were sat down in reception and everything was explained including upgrade options. Very impressed with this property. First time to Goa and India. Other than slow service getting lunch, this property exceeded all of my expectations. Beautifully maintained and close to a beautiful beach. Im not sure if its a seasonal issue but there were thousands of dead jellyfish on the beach and in the water which affected the whole coastline so not sure if they were poisonous or not so didnt risk going into the sea in case they were. Great hotel with what it effectively its own private beach. The staff were wonderful and so was the food. It really was amazing and we had a great time. It could be a bit quiet at night and there isn't much else around - although if you walk left along the beach there is a beach shack and another hotel both doing excellent food but at much cheaper rates (and the drinks are much cheaper too). Enjoyed the stay . Will go back to the same place. Nice and a very hospitable bar. Good pool bar. Very courteous and accomadating staff. Suggestion : book a room on the first floor sea facing. It has doors opening to the lawn and beach pathway. If out of budget, the garden view rooms on the first floor are the same and only a minute's walk to the beach path ( of course no beach view). Goa Marriott will be by first choice and I recommend it to all.
