"Reasonable rates, and decent location near Mendez Alvaro station. Atocha station also not far from the hotel but a bit of a trek if you have your bags. Hotel is clean and well maintained, few amenities though, rooms are on the smaller side, with two of us, it would have been nice to have a second shelf for our things and a few more plugs, hooks, etc. Continental breakfast was a nice add on by the hotel, appreciated having a bite to start off our day. Would love to have the water at the entrance being filled throughout the day, in 35 degrees celsius it’s nice to be welcomed with something refreshing. Would also suggest to the hotel to have a sign for which glasses are clean /used as they were switching sides on different days and people were sometimes putting used glasses on the clean side :( Overall it was a good experience for a hotel without too many frills!"

Hotel Chamartin The One

"I was surprised because we stayed above a train station but the property was well maintained and the location made it very easy to travel outside to various locations. I think why I didn’t give it 5 stars was because the shower had no doors and all the water ran throughout the bathroom. You needed to use half their towels to sop up the water. Beyond that the place was good and convenient for travel."

"I had booked a deluxe double room and payed much more than my budget INR 51,000, but was surprised to see that there was no proper toilet area. The washbasin was as soon as you opened the room door, the shower was literally next to the bed, each time I took a shower I had to wipe the outside of the cubicle (half glass) because the water sprayed next to the bedroom carpet. The toilet (wc) was in a small long space behind the wash basin with a sliding door. There was half a wardrobe open above the locket and fridge."

"Really nice hotel very close to train station. There are restaurants and a cafe in the hotel so you don’t have to leave. Room was overall nice though our king bed was 2 double beds pushed together each with separate sheets so it was like we were sleeping in different beds right next to each other. Unfortunately there was construction right outside that went all night."

"We came to Madrid for a milestone birthday. We had isueswith room. No upgrade. The staff tried to sell upgrade to suite for $400 per night. If I booked with Expedia it would have been $100 extra per night. The staff try to do what they can, they were pleasant. I had no issues with staff. The room is configured wierd, the sink is in the room and not close to the bathroom. You have to walk across the room to wash your hands. The walls are so thin I can hear loud snoring in the next door room. We asked to be moved, I did not have sleep at all. They did move us to a higher floor which was better. The hotel was okay,after our experience at Hard Rock Maldives I wanted to frequent Hard Rock. I was disappointed with this hotel. There are good things. The size of the room is good. It was clean. They gave me a cake on my birthday. The staff were helpful, we asked for robes and slippers and they did provide. I was disappointed with room service. My husband called intermittently for 30 min and no answer. He called front desk they stated theywill call back, no call back. 15 min later my husband calls them back, after 5 minutes room service calls back, apologizes states that the music was so loud they did not hear the phone. The food was not good. The breakfast was good. You can order omelettes etc made to order. The location is very close to train station. Uber is available. Walking distance to Reina Sofia and Prado. I want to thank the staff that helped us move rooms."
