We stayed here while we visited Universal Studios Hollywood. Staff was excellent. Room was quiet. The lounge and food was good and the valet was fast. Room had hole in sheets, stain on the head board, vent in bathroom was very dirty. Although the few negatives this is a great place to stay.

Everyone we encountered at Hotel Amarano was extremely polite!! We travel a lot and this was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. Will definitely stay here again if we travel back to the LA area.

I had reserved a room with two beds, but there were none when I arrived. They put me in a King suite instead. Except, I was staying with my adult son, so needed two beds. There was a sofa bed in the suite, which would never be my choice, but it worked out okay. It was fairly comfortable. All of the staff I encountered were awesome - friendly, helpful, remembered me by sight, asked if I was satisfied with the arrangements -- I was really impressed. Comfortable bed, lots of hot water for the shower, nice little bar in the lobby that also doubled as the continental breakfast area. It was nice to be in a boutique hotel and not a big chain. Unlimited free bottled water and k-cups at the front desk. I was on the ground floor and it was fairly quiet. It's in a neighborhood so there isn't a lot of commercial noise at night.
