"We had a lovely apartment with a great view of the city and mountains. The room was very spacious and in an acceptable condition. We were surprised that breakfast was served to the room, rather than in a restaurant. There didn't seem to be any options so we weren't able to eat the breakfast since it didn't align with our dietary requirements. One thing I didn't like was that someone rings your door at 7am until you open the door to receive your breakfast. This was a bit disruptive to our stay."

"Really lovely place to stay in Kuching in walking distance of the waterfront And with plenty of character. There are some great views from the communal areas and a lovely swimming pool. The staff were helpful and the breakfast nice but basic. The surroundings are quite noisy so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Would highly recommend this place to stay!"

"Permai is fantastic, we had a treehouse and enjoyed waking up to monkeys and bird song each morning. It is a perfect place to just relax and do nothing or book some tours from. "Initially my wife and I had a room that the A/C was a bit old and the room was hot but the staff were fast to fix the problem and our stay was amazing after that. The breakfast buffet doesn't have tons of options but they have the essentials and it was quite tasty. We particularly enjoyed how close it was to the cultural visit which was one of the options for picking this spot, only a 10 min walk from the hotel. Overall I would recommend people to stay here but it would be worth the upgrade of the room in order to get the best facilities and options. "
