"Centara Grand Karon Beach has a beautiful setting overlooking the beach, it is well equipped for families with young kids from preschool to tweens offering shallow pools, lazy river, modest water slides and an adrenalin inducing rock jump. The rooms are very pleasant with great ocean views and there is also an adults only pool. Food wise it is pretty good, the Thai food was our favourite but European seafood, Western kids favourites and some Indian food is on offer. The resort makes an effort to mix things up with night"street food" markets but get in early for those else it's not worth it (ie if back later from a day trip). It's a great place to laze, keep kids occupied and there are plenty of day trip options. If you want to save a bit of cash you can eat very cheaply in the nearby town, also suggest to organise your own transfers and tours as the mark-ups they have through their tours desk are ridiculous. Overall it is a great resort, we enjoyed it and would happily stay at Centara group resorts again."
