"My family and I just spent four incredible nights at the Novotel Kata Avista Resort and Spa, and I cannot recommend it enough. We were traveling with our two children (ages 6 and 8), and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. We stayed in Room 501 on the 5th floor, which had a beautiful view overlooking the beach. Our arrival was made special by May, who escorted us to our room and ensured we were completely comfortable from the moment we checked in. Since we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, the staff went above and beyond by decorating our room to mark the occasion—a thoughtful touch that made our stay so special. For families, this resort is a gem. We made great use of both kids' areas; they were fantastic for keeping our children entertained and gave us parents some much-needed relaxation time. The breakfast spread was excellent throughout our stay, and we also had the opportunity to book a private Thai cooking class, which was a really enjoyable experience for the whole family. The amenities made everything convenient. We loved the shuttle service to Kata Beach—they provided beach towels and flip-flops, so we didn't have to worry about packing extra gear. The outdoor showers by the pool were also a great feature for cleaning up after a beach day. What truly set this stay apart was the service. "Breakfast was good and lot of selection coffee service was kinda slow as each cup had to be ordered from the waitress and due to the small sizes of the cups this created a backlog as most guest ordered multiple ones "

"This was a very large resort hotel. Beautifully decorated for Christmas! They even had a welcome night for guests with champagne, canapés and an invitation to participate in making the largest fruit cake ever! ( not sure when it will be baked - probably marinating in many types of alcohol until Christmas) Nice clean rooms; (the bed was a bit firm but I’m sure if we had asked they would have accommodated with a layer softer); we had a beautiful pool view. The staff was amazing especially Vrugo who seemed to be everywhere! Always smiling, making sure everybody was happy and taken care of. Also Justine - he greeted us every morning at breakfast with a genuine smile and interest in accommodating whatever we needed! I didn’t catch her name but there was a woman staff member at the beach bar/fire show who took exceptional care of my husband and I - she seated us in front and center seats and made us feel very special for the entire evening! (celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary). The beach is across a very busy street; although the hotel provided a nice staff member with a flag at the crosswalk making it safe to cross. The lush landscape and outside pathway lighting was beautiful!"

"Great stay the Mandarava!! Rooms were very spacious, clean, and nice. Views spectacular. Pools were awesome and many to choose from. Restaurants and food were very good. Resort in walking distance to beach with a shuttle also provided. Staff was fantastic!! And the spa was very impressive also. "
