"This is an amazing property (staff, location, amenities), but the food and beverage quality is sorely lacking. Overall: Every drink is at least $16. Mind you, this is a no-frills mixed drink marketed as a cocktail. I use the word "cocktail" here very loosely. I guess this is to be expected; you're on an island. "Although a bit dated we had a lovely stay here. The draw back here is although there is a beach it isn't a great one and dangerous to swim at as the undertow is very very strong. Also there is an enormous amout of driftwood and large pieces of wood in the water which is very dangerous. The staff were lovely. The grounds were beautiful. "I got a really nice Condominium (look’s like a house) doble floor, doble bedroom, doble bathroom and a nice view to the sea. You need to drive like 20 min far away to find a nice place to swing but it is an small island. Behind the hotel it is an amazing place to eat, the name is Kauai Boba & Barbecue( delicious and amazing people). "
