Stick with the resort food, the restaurants (dukes and cafe portifino are not great, especially at their prices) but the sushi on site and the bar restaurant are very good. The pool is beautiful, great beach access, luau was fun. Check out gaylords rum tour, best part of the trip!

Glad we stayed at Royal Sonesta for a week. My family had a great time. The swimming pool and Jacuzzi were clean and we spent a lot of time in water. The kalpaki beach access is a great convenience. The food at kukui restaurant was great. The staff were very helpful and the concierge helped me plan out my week to my requirements. The walkway in between the beach and Sonesta provided for some scenic evening walks. The location is ideal. It's close to the airport and many other attractions are within 30 mins drive. Highly recommend this resort.

My room overlooked the pool and a side view of the beach, Very comfortable bed and pillows. All resort staff were friendly and accommodating. The lunch menu at the resort was good, especially liked the flatbread pizza. Beach area and pool areas had plenty of seating. The roosters were fun to watch. Overall a great resort.
