10/10 would stay again if we were in Chicago. We stayed for 6 days and loved it. We got the 2 beds and had a really nice view from our room. All the staff were very kind and helpful. It is noisy because of where it is located as we can hear the traffic on Michigan and the Metra honking as it passed and whilst we personally were not negatively affected by this it’s something to consider if you are very sensitive to noise.

I had a brilliant stay here. I got a good deal and the room was one of the best I’ve stayed in. It was also peaceful and quiet, and I felt safe here, which is valued by any woman travelling solo. Thank you.

Lovely old hotel right in the loop. Stayed for the marathon. Great base, free tea and coffee each morning was excellent, there was also a free runners breakfast race day. Elevators are bit quirky but that was the only slight negative. Great staff, lovely building, great location.

Location was perfect in terms of ease of access and closeness to interesting sites in downtown Chicago. It was also nice to get a room with the Riverwalk view.

I've been staying at this hotel anytime I'm in the city for about 10 years now. This hotel has so much history and character and is really pleasant to be at. In all these years the friendliness of the staff at this hotel cannot be beat. This hotel is best suited for travelers looking for an experience; if one is accustomed to large chain hotels they should understand they may exchange some standard expectations for character, history, and uniqueness. That said, I have only had positive...
