"This was the most amazing hotel I've ever stayed in. I hopped on the Metro from Oslo City then walked the 10 mins in an amazing Spring mist which gave a fairytale feel to the hotel (to others it may have been horror movie esque as long roads, can't see very far etc but each to their own). After checking in the spotless room (check in was unbelievably straightforward) and marvelling in the serenity of the peace and quiet I checked out the pool, gym and sauna which are all very well maintained and just added to the overall experience. The area surrounding the hotel has trials and forests aplenty so if you're hiking, base yourself here as the views are outstanding even on the metro journey up too! Can not recommend the hotel enough!"

"Small double room suitable for 1 person, although didn't spend much time at the hotel. Breakfast offered a good selection of hot & cold food & drinks. Although the hotel encourages you to check in & out online or at screen in the hotel, it was much nicer to talk to the staff. Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room to make a hot drink after a long day out exploring Oslo. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from Oslo Central Station & a 5 minute walk to the royal palace."

"This is a charming hotel with beautiful views of Oslofjord and the surrounding mountains. The breakfast is quite good, as are the offerings for dinner. I learned that the sauna/spa/pool were closed when I checked in, and that was one of the reasons I booked the hotel, so that was a considerable disappointment, and no compensatory concession was offered to address the discrepancy between the Expedia profile/photos and the reality of the situation on the ground."

"By arriving at 12.00 instead of 15.00 we were faced with paying an extra Krona 200 to use our room. The alternative was to leave our baggage by using a QR code and doing it ourselves. There was only One member of staff at reception and nearly always a queue to be served."
