"We had a decent stay at North Inn Town hotel. For the price we paid (25$ CAD/night), it was ok but we would not recommend it, mostly because it’s quite far from everything. When we booked, we knew it was a 25 min walk away from the old town but, in reality, the walk isn’t pleasant and it can easily be a bit further than that depending on where you are in the old town. The room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet, which made it easy to relax after a day out exploring although transport is reccomended as the sereness yet closeness to the city centre still need a bit to travel although close. "Other than being located outside the city center ( 1-2 min drive by scooter or tuk tuk ), Chiang phueak is the next best spot IMO. Safe, shopping, quiet, and clean. Still in the walking streets and markets which line the whole city. This hotel feels upscale, is extremely clean, well run, very affordable, and has beautiful day/night views of the golden shrine of Doi Sethup right off every balcony. Private, gated and manned under building parking with elevator. One of the best."
