"This is a wonderful resort not far from Chiang Mai. The check and and out was fast. The room was clean with a comfortable mattress. The pool was clean and nearby the room. The restaurant provided a good dinner. The breakfast buffet had made to order egg dishes, many hot dishes, pastries, Thai desserts and fruits. The grounds were very beautiful. I have stayed here on 3 different occasions and have enjoyed this resort. I recommend Horizon for a nice getaway"

We had hired a car and drove from the airport and had no problems parking at the hotel. The Lanna style of the hotel gives a unique feel and a pleasant hideaway from the outside. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. There was a good choice of food option in the restaurant and it appeared to cater for many different tastes. The property is small and boutique like (just 14 rooms), very nice and top quality. The staff are what makes the property so nice. Yumi, the manageress could not do enough for us, but also all the other staff too were so nice and welcoming. Breakfast almost seemed like having your own personal chef. I’ve been to Thailand a few times and the Empress Hotel has to the best hotel I’ve stayed in for service. When I arrived I received a voucher for a free drink and a welcome gift as well as being upgraded and in my room fresh fruit, the staff were just excellent very polite, friendly and helpful, good choice of food at breakfast time, the pool area was good as was my room(1501) If I do come back to Chiang Mai again I will definitely stay at the Empress Hotel

From the moment our group of four ( two couples) arrived the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. We were given a glass of apple juice, refreshing cold towels and map of Chiang Mai showing our location. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the beds comfy, wi fi works all around the hotel and at night incense sticks were lit outside your room to help stop the midges coming in.
