"Overall, this was a fantastic experience for my wife and kids. Good food, drinks and very friendly staff. Suggestion: many hallways and elevators need a fresh coat of white paint. Looked dirty, when the walls were probably cleanish. "

"Our family of three stayed in one of the private rooms. We felt comfortable and relaxed there. There were plenty of bathrooms to choose from. Very nice hostel. "

"Lots to like, coffee maker, microwave and fridge with a couple plates, mugs, forks spoons - not a kitchenette but meets the needs. TV had lots stations. "

"The hotel is well located with interestingly unique facilities, culture and history. The staffs are friendly and knowledgeable. I particularly love the morning coffee and free stand-up boards which I was able to enjoy in calm waters across the street. Will definitely stay again. "

"Very ‘old school’ facility that’s been around 50+ years… but, is simple, clean and very nice staff!!! Close by to downtown Hilo and is in a residential area. The fresh coffee, papaya & banana bread in the morning was very ono!!! We’ll definitely stay here again with our ohana on our next weekend trip to Hilo."
