"Mini bar stocked well with water when room was cleaned. Fresh towels etc. There is no breakfast but do have free tea/coffee in the mornings. Staff all super friendly and happy to help. Hotel was in a perfect area for us to explore the city. Overall cleanliness of rooms was disappointing. Stains on carpet and walls, with bathroom needing updated due to mould in grout parts of the shower. Even found a previous customers sock between the bed and air con. "

"Really bad hotel"

"The staff were all wonderful -- helpful, friendly, and efficient! This is a great location, within walking distance of many things and kitty corner from Carnegie Hall. The bathroom had a nice big tub, and the room didn't feel as tiny as other NYC hotel rooms. My only complaint is that this is an older hotel and feels very dated and worn out. My room was so "old" feeling that it had a bit of the "ick" factor. Also, when I got to my room, the windows were wide open (in March's colder weather). I was on the 6th floor, and it just felt strange. I was just there for a night so it felt tolerable, but this is not a "luxury" hotel, even though the building itself is very impressive!"

"It is in a very convenient location if you're going downtown, about 3 minutes to get to the train station. It's not too fancy. As a native NYorker, ot looks like an apartment complex that they bought.and decided to turn into a hotel. The furniture is definitely vintage. It is also affordable considering the rates of some hotels now."
