Beautiful hotel, recently renovated which means they have state of the showers, beautiful throws and proper duvets, spotless white gorgeous bedding, fantastic decor throughout the hotel. The rooms are separated slightly from the fullers pub with a separate entrance. The breakfast was fabulous where you can order from a menu and food is made to order and fresh, included full English breakfast, eggs florentine, pancakes with fruit and maple syrup, porridge with fresh fruit. Booked this as a 4-day retreat for the family as wanted a self-catered location to cater for my 3yr old and 5m baby. On arriving there was a customised hamper snacks for us and the kids plus all the essentials (milk, bread, butter etc) which included fresh eggs from the farm. The place was clean and decorated to a high standard, in a lovely setting which I'd have been happy with or without the kids. The doors of the lodge opened on to decking in front of a large grass area which also had a...

Great initial welcome from Mike, backed up by some wonderful idiosyncratic features that uplifted the stay. Complimentary Sipsmiths Sloe Gin in the room, choice of two single malt whiskies (also complimentary) and freshly brewed coffee at the refreshments station were unexpected and warmly enjoyed! Restaurant and bar staff were very helpful and food preparation and presentation were excellent. The breakfast of blueberry pancakes were the prettiest presentation we've ever seen.

Fantastic accommodation and setting. We loved our stay in the copper castle. The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and the goats outside the accommodation are very friendly!

The hotel is easy accessible via the eighth floor of the adjoining car park, which takes you straight into the hotel reception. The hotel is very clean and stylish, however we wasn’t aware that it was very high up. We was on the 16th floor and my son was very scared to look out of the bedroom window or go into the lift. Dinner/breakfast was also on floor 20. I would say if you like lovely views and heights book this hotel. Grace on reception was amazing she could see how stressed my son was and...

This is a lovely privately owned and managed hotel. All so very English. We had a great time and have recommended this hotel to several friends already.
