I can't fault the hotel, the staff, the bar, the food or the price.
Staff were young but knowledgable. Food was simple but delicious. The bar had inventive twists on drinks (Negronis with port replacing Martini Rosso? A hot chocolate with Remy Martin?)
If you're looking for a hotel that is bang in the centre of Edinburgh, look elsewhere. This is in the beautiful area of Stockbridge, 20min walk or 5 min bus ride from Princes St.
We'll stay here again. Loved it.

An excellent hotel with character, class, and great service. I can understand why The Balmoral Hotel is such a famous place to stay when visiting Edinburgh.

This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We stayed in the Townhouse Suite which was larger than our London flat! By far the best value for money we have ever got from a hotel room. Staff were excellent and very helpful. The onsite "honesty shop" was also very well stocked with a range of food and drinks with a lovely lounge area to enjoy them in. We have already booked this hotel again for our next trip to Edinburgh.

We had a great stay. The staff we very friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, the food was good, and it was very peaceful. It's a £10 cab ride to get anywhere though, so keep that in mind if that kind of thing bothers you and you're not driving (they always came quickly though).

I have never stayed at this hotel before and I will 100% be returning. Super clean, fantastic finish and the bed sheets were so soft! Couldn’t fault a single thing. We stayed on a Saturday night (on floor 9) and you could hear a tiny bit of noise from local streets but did not disturb our sleep one bit. All staff were super friendly too. Fab location too. Thank you so much.

Wonderful stylish hotel just opened so very clean and fresh. My room was an apartment with kitchenette (I don't think there is a dining room), high quality spacious bathroom and very high speed WiFi. Staff pleasant, location central and good bar/cafe area. I wanted to stay longer and will definitely stay next time.

Our room 220 was lovely we knew it didn’t have windows but the massive screen showing Hearts ground totally amazing. The room spacious my only gripe was the Milton brown shampoo and shower gel pumps didn’t work but I bought my own and one night we didn’t have hand towels but that’s all minor things. We had plenty of condiments and a lovely touch free crisps and jammy dodgers my fav lol. The staff 10/10 outstanding from the lovely ladies on reception to the guys in the sky restaurant. Once inside, the apartment was quiet, comfortable and very well resourced. We had everything we needed for a very comfortable 3 night stay, including a supermarket next door. The welcome pack of cereals, bread, fresh juices, milk and biscuits were an added bonus. Great location, walking distance to all the sights and excellent local independent shops. You must go to Mary's Milk Bar in the Grassmarket and Lovecrumbs across the street

What an incredible place to stay. Blackfriars Loft apartments are stunning. Furnished beautifully. Everything you could need was provided. The apartment was spotlessly clean, comfortable and located so close to the Royal Mile. Beautiful bathroom and toiletries. Very handy to have a washing machine and drying rack. Fabulous whiskey and pizza bar directly under the apartment and fabulous place for breakfast next door. We were able to park directly in front of the building to unload luggage which...

The quality of the place exceeded my expectations - boutique aparthotel, arranged with great taste, immaculately clean. Everything was werking well - air con can be adjusted to any temperature you want, there are kitchen appliancec in the room: WM, DW, fridge, and even the tumble dryer, plus iron and ironing board. There is a gym at the lower grand floor - small, but all machines are new, and working well. Book with confidence-you wont be dissapointed!
