"comfortable bed. aircon a bit noisy but worked well as a white noise machine. shower was spacious and comfortable. good water pressure. towel was large. in-room safe was useful. adequate hangers for clothes. very accessible by monorel but always traffic jam right in front of the hotel. gigantic mall Berjaya Times Square is just an overhead bridge away, and new mall Lalaport is another bridge away. more food and shopping options behind the hotel."

Immediate locality is disappointing several sites along road derelict post COVID and fewer local eateries but hotel itself remains well run"

"The location is beautiful and understandable that it is in an ancient rainforest, however it doesn’t excuse the mould in some of the rooms or the hair that was clogging the sinks and showers. On arrival we decided to have lunch as they prepped our room, we found flies in our salads, not one but three. We had a 1.5 year old with us, so you can only imagine our shock when the room smelt of damp. They finally agreed to changing our room to only find more damp growing even on the pictures displayed...

"I really enjoyed my stay at Tubotel, as far as low-cost hostel stays go it was an exceptionally comfortable stay. Booking a private room was really a good choice. I booked the private partial sea-view and really appreciated that I did. Even so the area is so easy to move around and the patio is right on the ocean so you have great views no matter what.
