My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights recently. I haven't been back to Sintra for nearly 30 years and really wanted somewhere outside of Sintra's historic centre from which to explore the region again. This hotel was perfect. It hasn't been open for long and whilst that is apparent, it didn't detract from our stay. The location in Colares was perfect. Nestled on the main road to the coast, it is surrounded by lush forest at the foot of the hills on the banks of a beautifully wild river...

Fabulous location right on the beach. All rooms have a sea view perfect for watching the sunset. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, breakfast had a good selection. The pool was fab!

Very friendly staff, nice quiet and peaceful. Rooms are adequate for short stays.

It was a real treat staying at Lawrence’s Hotel. The staff are lovely and the old fashioned and historic ambience is special. The location is superb. I would recommend arriving by taxi/bus/train rather than car as the streets are hard to navigate.

Fantastic hotel with an excellent team who seemed genuinely interested and pleased to help. Looking forward to returning.

A grand hotel providing comfortable, spotlessly clean accomodation & courteous, helpful staff. The hotel is set in attractive gardens with an immaculate pool which is maintained to an excellent standard by the poolside assistant who promptly provides mattresses & towels as required. A visit to the Hydro Spa (the Banyan Tree), owned by the hotel, is a MUST! We stayed on a B&B basis & Breakfast was buffet style with a good variety of sweet & savoury options, hot & cold choices & was plentiful....

A wonderful location on the seafront and in the old part of town. Everything felt within easy walking distance. We loved the balcony overlooking the sea. A good buffet breakfast and a good size room.

The aim was to have a relaxed, calm break and we got that from the wonderful country, hotel, food and weather! The hotel is close enough to Lisbon (20 minutes by train which was roughly €3 return) but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful surroundings! The staff were wonderful and could not do enough to accommodate all our needs. Small tip, make sure to visit the local restaurants, we dined as the tavern (Portuguese), Italian and Japanese restaurants and they were so enjoyable! The sushi...

The room was always clean and tidy, the staff was amazing, such kindness, they treated us like family. The breakfast buffet, amazing.

Well maintained hotel with friendly and efficient staff. Close to all amenities and the Metro, but nevertheless in a quiet street - 10 minutes walk to the city centre. Nice touches with complimentary port, cherry liqueur and afternoon tea with pastries. We had a sudden need for medical assistance late in the evening and the staff were brilliant in getting it sorted. Extremely comfortable room with all you need, especially, a large bed, comfortable chairs and terrific shower - great for relaxing...

Don’t even hesitate and book this hotel for your Lisbon trip! Hotel is immaculate, rooms are spacious,beautiful, huge comfortable bed and amazing bathroom. Staff are amazing and go above and beyond to help and make you welcome. I had a birthday during my stay and was surprised with a bottle of fizz and cake left in our room. Hotel is so convenient for everything and road is very quiet due to traffic restrictions on it. I’ve told everyone how good this hotel is and would love to return to it one...
