Very cute older hotel. The only negative is most boutique hotels have robes and the Lawrence hotel did not.

I enjoyed my entire stay at Lawrence's Hotel. The property was beautiful and I feel in love with Sintra and everything the city had to offer. The staff was very nice and professional, the morning breakfast was great and many options to chose from. Thank you for making our experience to Portugal so AMAZING.

The hotel is charming and very conveniently located but the best thing was the wonderful staff. So friendly and helpful yet very professional. You must stay here if you are coming to Sintra.

The location was convenient to the downtown historic area and shopping, as well as to trails leading to the Moorish castle and the Palace of Pena. The staff was polite and helpful and the building itself has an interesting historic and literary past. We had an excellent meal at the on site restaurant. Parking is a challenge though, and our room had a distracting odor problem.

The location was amazing! I don't think they do enough on capitalizing on the history of the hotel though - Hans Christian Andersen stayed there, so did Lord Byron! There was work being done to the outdoor areas - which will be GORGEOUS. It is an old hotel, filled with character and we really enjoyed our stay. Staff was super nice - big shout out to new trainee - Andrew - who helped direct me where to park our car in the craziest, most ancient garage. Note - if you don't need a car in Sintra - don't bring it!!!

A beautiful historic hotel, comfortable rooms, quiet in the evening. Staff was friendly and breakfast was substantial! A short walk to Quinta da Regaleira and the Sintra National Palace, good restaurants and nice shops nearby.
