New Haven Hotel

"We had a pleasant experience with New Haven Hotel. Check-in and check-out were very smooth and fast. The hotel staff, especially the front desk staff, were very friendly, warm, and helpful. The hotel's location was great, right in New Haven Business district and walkable to Yale University campus. We would highly recommend this hotel if you are planning to visit Yale or New Haven."

"For a motel, it was comfortable and clean. We didn't go to the pool, but we went to the breakfast twice. What was surprising was that there was a limited hot breakfast with scrambled eggs and chicken sausages (which was pretty good). The room was clean. Although the staffs don't make beds often, but if you ask them to make the beds, they will make it every other day. If you leave your towels and garbage in the hallway, they will change them daily. You need to ask for the ice bucket in the front desk. We got complimentary bottles of water. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were a little too soft. The chair was too hard. When I sat on it too long, the bottom became numb. (Maybe changing the chair would be better). Also, this was the first motel that didn't have drawers, which was disappointing. We made do with what we had. The breakfast was pretty good. I like the rocking chairs. We were able to use the breakfast room to wait for our Amtrak train back to NY. The location was close to Olde Mistick, Mystic Aquarium, Seaport Museum, and Downtown Mystic. There were many restaurants near the motel as well. Overall, it was a comfortable stay for our 2 families of 7. Our families enjoyed our stay here at Spark by Hilton!!"

"This property desperately needs some updating, especially in the bathrooms. While it was clean, there’s paint peeling in the tubs. I only stayed for one night and didn’t get there until after 11pm. I had to check in through a window."

"Absolute gem really cool giant picnic table in the middle of the room, which is great for kids are just getting work done. The staff is absolutely wonderful. The view is gorgeous. If you stay on the backside of the hotel cannot recommend this place enough. What a surprise incredible bargain."
