I booked the wrong day. Even though the hotel was sold out, the manager found me a room. Even better, they honored the low rate for Sunday night on my reservation even though Saturday night was at a higher rate. They could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The hotel is recently renovated and looks great.

Very happy with this hotel, it is located near a Walmart and gas station with 7/11 and a few fast food spots. It's a short cab ride away from down town new haven. Has a handy indoor pool and gym. It was perfect for an overnight stay.

We arrived early after an overnight flight and we were able to check in straight away, which was very kind and very much appreciated. Our room was very big and spacious and clean with an enormous bed! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was okay for non vegans but not many options for vegans which was a shame. And everything is plastic or paper, plastic cutlery and paper cups and plates, which seems such a waste and isn't nearly as nice as eating off a proper plate...

Raj (at Reception) booked us into our rooms and was very helpful in answering any queries (a theme that he continued throughout our stay). Security is wood put in the runners of the sliding windows, which works. Windows are single glazed and the property is very close to the motorway so road noise is an issue despite the garden and trees out the back. Breakfast was very basic, weak coffee, doughnuts or bagels. There is a good diner just over the motorway bridge for meals.
