Excellent hotel, clean and tidy. Staff were also excellent and very helpful every time we interacted. The room was very spacious and the wet room was great. A little bit noisy from the night clubs and bars in the streets nearby but, with the windows closed it was not too intrusive, maybe more of an issue in the summer months.
We did book a room with a river view and paid more for this however, the river could only be viewed if you leaned out of the window.
We would happily go back to the hotel...

The was the perfect place to stay in Lisbon! The hotel had everything from lovely spacious rooms, delicious breakfast and friendly staff! The location of the hotel is ideal as it’s right in the city centre, we were able to walk pretty much everywhere. Highly recommend!

Amazing stay at Altis Avenida! Such a perfect location to explore Lisbon. The welcome we received and help with anything was wonderful. The rooftop bar was a particular highlight with a lovely atmosphere and fab cocktails. There was also a small sun deck for the moments to have a rest and take in the views.

Had a fab stay in this hotel. Doesn't look much from the outside, but gorgeous inside. Extremely helpful young staff, couldn't do more to please. Breakfast included - nothing fancy, but huge choice and lovely and fresh. Hotel situated right in the old town, so easy access for metro, trams, airport and numerous restaurants, bars and shops. Would highly reccomend.

Wonderfully located in the centre of town, close to the Old Town and the railway station. The road from the airport leads directly to the square on which the hotel is situated. There is a taxi rank directly outside and the city tour buses and trams start on the square. The hotel staff and facilities are excellent. And the restaurant serves delicious food at competitive prices.

Great stay at Teatro especially because of the very central location. The rooms are small, but there is exactly what one needs and the staff in very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Lovely, charming old world hotel. Spacious lounge / breakfast room with peacocks looking in through glass doors from the beautiful outdoor courtyard most mornings. Very friendly and helpful staff. Adequate hot and cold breakfast. Room and bathroom plenty big enough for a base with a complimentary decanter of excellent Port. The hotel is located within the outer castle walls up a delightful narrow cobblestoned street where some of the houses have caged birds outside their doors, as well as...

Well maintained hotel with friendly and efficient staff. Close to all amenities and the Metro, but nevertheless in a quiet street - 10 minutes walk to the city centre. Nice touches with complimentary port, cherry liqueur and afternoon tea with pastries. We had a sudden need for medical assistance late in the evening and the staff were brilliant in getting it sorted. Extremely comfortable room with all you need, especially, a large bed, comfortable chairs and terrific shower - great for relaxing...

The staff were fabulous....helpful, friendly, relaxed but very professional. We were given brilliant recommendations for dinner, pitched just right for us, so well judged by the staff. Their recommendation for Fado was also spot on. The roof top bar is great with an informal but stylish atmosphere. Breakfast is very good. The rooms are exceptionally clean.
I have stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world but none have come close to getting the total package as correct as this one. Exceptional.

We loved our stay at the Torel Palace. We had spent a few days staying in Bairro Alto region which was great for restaurants and nightlife . We then moved to Torel Palace and it was like taking a vacation . It's is in such s quiet , peaceful location on top of a hill, and the outdoor spaces are wonderfully relaxing with a lovely pool ( so welcome on a hot day in Lisbon).

The verdes is a unique and glorious hotel from its location - 15 minutes walk to centre - to its transport link - tram (15or 25) / bus 714 /727) or train/metro from Santos ( 5 min walk) to its ever so helpful staff to its honesty bar which is so good you want to pay ..The hotel itself is on 4 floors with a terrace next to the library ( yes it is a library with old leathers chairs and books ) which also holds the kitchen which has tea and coffee and homemade biscuits free of charge as well as the...

Staying at the Pestana Palace is one of the great pleasures of life. Although it is 15-20 minutes away from downtown Rossio / Chiado by taxi, its location high on hill by the bridge is great. Belem is an easy (downhill) walk away really.
The hotel itself is magnificent - a Belle Epoque palace with formal state rooms with two modern wings attached it, and all encircling a wonderful semi-tropical garden with a lovely pool and spa in it.

The shopping, restaurants and riverfront are just some of the things to enjoy while you're in the area. Activities and attractions to experience around Chiado include Rossio Square, Avenida da Liberdade and Trindade Theater. You might also like to explore more of the area and take in additional sights like Camões Square, Lisboa Story Centre and Coliseu dos Recreios while you're here.
What's the best way to get to my boutique hotel in Chiado?
You have a few options for getting to and around Chiado. The nearest major airport is Lisbon (LIS-Humberto Delgado), which is located 4.1 mi (6.7 km) away, but Cascais (CAT) may also be an option. You can walk to nearby metro stations including Chiado Stop, Lg. Academia Nacional Belas AR Stop and Pç. Luis Camões Stop.
