"Ian at Reception was accommodating, friendly and helpful as this was our first stay in York. The room was really nice. We had very good service in the bar and in the dinning room. This hotel is a short walk to old York which was wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel. "

A complimentary self service breakfast, choose from crumpets brown and white bread for toasting also cearel yogurts and pastries. Tea and coffee and orange juice. Staff very friendly. Peaceful area close to centre via bootham gate. On street parking at a charge of £5 per night. "

"I was in York for my Granddaughter’s wedding & stayed at this B&B for one night only but the accommodation was clean, breakfast was good & Jason the owner was very helpful & obliging with parking. The only negative was the shower, which was scolding hot one minute & freezing cold the next. "
