To be very clear, the hotel and the pub/restaurant may be in the same building, but they are very different. The pub/restaurant was lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was tasty. The atmosphere was authentic and homely. I would recommend it!
The hotel, however, I would not recommend. My sister and I stayed for 5 days, and not once was our room cleaned. I mean, it wasn't clean to begin with. We found old Starburst candies under the bed, and the bathroom smelled terrible the entire time. There's no ventilation in the bathroom either, so the smell never left. The WIFI was spotty and unreliable (it worked for me, but didn't for my sister 5 feet away). The rooms weren't soundproof, so neither us nor our neighbours had any privacy. The worst part of our stay, however, was our last night (Saturday). There was a concert happening in the pub when we returned at 9pm. We thought it might end at 11 or 12. No. It continued until 2:30am! We had to catch our flight at 4:30am, so we didn't sleep at all. I would have called the front desk to complain, but the rooms have no phones. After that night, it was clear to us that the pub was the priority. Not the hotel. I would never stay here again, and I don't recommend that you do either. Very disappointing.
