"The doorman treated me like I was a celebrity. The hotel itself is not as glamorous as the photos. The staff members were kind & the bed was comfortable. Not sure about the location, as my stay was brief."

"The hotel is very beautiful however upholstery on some furniture can use upgrading. The staff is super nice and helpful with any of your needs. Only drawback is the size of the room. I literally could not open my suitcase that was on floor due to very cramped quarters. You also can’t close door to bathroom once you’re sitting on the toilet lol. The entrance to the tube is right around corner and there is a few dining options close by.Overall it was a good experience during our time in London. "

"The room was very dated and had some stains on the towels and bed cover. The floors creak very loudly which means you can hear your upstairs neighbours every step. I loved the retro bathroom, staff was friendly. Conveniently located, accross the street from Hyde park and a few subway stations nearby."

"Excellent experience "

"We didn’t even get to stay at the Royal Eagle. We arrive exhausted and carrying luggage and and are told that due to maintenance, we will be staying at a different hotel a nearly a 20 minute walk away. We were not given any notice of this beforehand. We were promised an upgraded room and breakfast, but neither was provided. The replacement room was smaller, and the issues continued throughout our stay: the air conditioning repeatedly failed, making it very uncomfortable to sleep; one of our room keys was taken, leaving us with only one; and at one point, our key stopped working entirely, locking us out. Staff responses were dismissive and no real solutions were offered. The new location was farther from public transport, causing extra costs and requiring us to walk in unfamiliar areas at night, which felt unsafe. Even basic amenities were lacking, such as proper outlets in the bathroom. Overall, this experience was misleading, stressful, and far below expectations. Would not recommend."
