Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I upgraded to a premium canal room which was small but very clean. Towels and dressing gowns were really worn and hardly any toiletries. It didn’t feel like a five star hotel.

Best place to stay in Amsterdam. Luxury, impecable service and history combined. Everything is close walkable distance, but views of bridges and canals from the windows make you not want to leave the room. Interesting trivia- Beatles stayed here during their European tour; and this was a home for original “Nightwatch” by Rembrandt before it was moved to the museum.

One of the best, some faults
Stayed in room 404. Perfect view of the canal, very nice to wake up to every day. Nice hotel lobby and friendly enough staff. Check in a bit slow. Waterfall showerhead wasn't working properly so used regular showerhead. A minor fault but generally a good hotel. Hard to see how it justifies being a 5-star but good nonetheless. I've stayed in a lot of Amsterdam hotels over the years and it's one of the best.

Don't know why this hotel is 5 star ! has so many problems. No service for luggage to room, Rude staff on check In. we didn't feel welcomed at all. very cheap soap and shampoo in bathroom, missing items like water, toothbrush, toothpaste, combs, napkins etc they said we got an upgrade but it was the same room that I booked. which is weird!! should be 2-3 star hotel at max. Extremely expensive for the price and services.
