Maria.. the reception desk clerk was the best.
Location is 2 min from public transportation.
Museums are very close as well.
Good stay — would do it again, especially because of the large comfortable room and bathroom. Took a little while for room to become available but nothing past the listed time.
The hotel Jan Luyken is a really beautiful and cute hotel. I enjoyed my time there, and if I needed anything at all (recommendations, a bike to take out, even a coffee) the staff was more than accommodating and made me feel at home.
A cutesy Art Deco slice of loveliness. Within easy walking distance of the museums, it’s an ideal spot from which to walk into the canal rings and beyond. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. Staff so friendly and helpful.
The Jan Luyken Hotel is charming, and only about a block form Musuem square. We went to teh Riks Museum one day and the Van GoughMuseum the next( Buy tickets in advance) At ight we walked in the neighborhood. The neighborhood immediatley across the canal is one of the most charming in Amsterdam. The staff was helpful and gave usa great reccomemdation for dinner. It was a great choice!
Gem of a hotel steps from the major museums. Gracious, welcoming staff readily responding to all requests. Excellent buffet breakfasts. Pleasant public spaces and bar.
Comfortable well equipped rooms ( street mouse sometimes intrudes but not after 11)
Touches of elegance and humor throughout.
