Whitby is an historic interesting scenic destination some great walks and nice shops over on the abbey side of the bridge. Excellent restaurants and worth doing the open top bus ride and boat trips lovely sandy beach. Will definitely go back again.

Always something to do. Saw dolphins swimming outside the harbour, off the end of the pier this visit. I highly recommend a visit to Pannett Park with Whitby museum and art gallery in the middle.

Whitby is a beautiful town with a sandy beach, a gothic abbey and a fantastic choice of places to eat and drink. Loads of hills and steps to burn off the calories. Our favourite holiday spot.

Parking is difficult so plan ahead. Cold in Winter bring warm clothes. Gets very busy! Whitby is a magical place! We never tire of it!

We only spent 2 days here and the weather was not good, but there seemed plenty to do. There is a hop on/hop off bus service which takes you to the main sights. The North York Moors Railway from Whitby to Pickering is a must for an all day out.

Whitby is a place i have been coming to visit for years and I love it. There are a huge variety of shops. Quaint, cobbled streets, beautiful buildings. The 199 steps up to the Abbey, The pubs, restaurants are all just brilliant. Views.

Whitby is a wonderful town. I grew up in a seaside town and I have never seen so many Fish & Chip shops in my life! By the end of the week I was in desperate need of a steak! I highly recommend the Whitby Distillery and Abbey!

Lovely town but can be very busy. I last visited it out of season and enjoyed it more than the swarms of tourists in July. I'm sorry I wasn't there for the Steampunk weekend.

Busy, but you know what you're getting with a Yorkshire seaside town in summer. Plenty of history and heritage, not to mention the beach.
"I recently stayed for a night and had a wonderful experience. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had such great character—especially loved the mezzanine bedroom. The service was spot on, with friendly staff greeting us warmly and checking in during our meals. Food and drink were fantastic too, making it a memorable visit overall. I can't wait to come back!"
"Second time staying at the Wilson arms lovely clean comfortable room staff very friendly and the breakfast was amazing. We will definitely be staying again."
"We had a lovely welcome at check in 💕
The parking was super we got parked outside which was convenient and we were given a parking permit. So that took the stress out of parking as Whitby was busy. The hotel is quirky and fabulous which we loved. We stayed in the crows nest on the the top floor. It had 3 bedrooms, living room, bathroom and seperate toilet. Each room is themed and the kids loved the treasure chest full of dressing up! Our room had beautiful views over the harbour. We went out for dinner to Trenches it's was amazing. Best fish and chips in Whitby 💕 We only booked room only so for breakfast we went out too! But there is an option of a continental breakfast at the hotel .We used the hotel as a base it's a super location and great for a short stay especially for a family of five which is difficult to find 💕. We were also given complimentary milk and tea and coffee making facilities in our apartment and fresh orange juice in the morning which is a lovely touch thank you! We would recommend experiencing this unique hotel which capulates the imagination and looks over on to the famous Whitby Abby 💕We had a wonderful stay thank you to the La Rosa hotel and wonderful staff!"
"The hotel was in a great part of Edinburgh making it easy to walk places. We loved how the building fit in with old Edinburgh. The breakfast was delicious. Being able to store our luggage between checkout and when we caught the train gave us an extra half day in town. We definitely recommend to anyone planning a stay in beautiful Edinburgh, Scotland. "
