"We arrived late and it was raining! Was not paying attention and did not see the sign for the entrance of the hotel. The reason for staying was that we booked a trip on the flying Scotsman (first trip) Would have liked to explore the area a bit more. "

"Highly recommend staying here Big car park so no issue of finding spaces to park even if the pub is full. The room was spotlessly clean with your own mini kitchen. The pub didn’t serve breakfasts (which was the only downside to this place) but they provided milk/juice/cereals/bread in the room so you can make your own. The pub menu was quite limited but tasty and had a good selection of beers/bitters on tap. The staff were really really friendly !"

"This is the second time at The Witching Post inn. We love the location.. easy to get to Whitby, Staithes, Robin Hood bay and Goathland. Pete and his team were great hosts and looked after us. Fantastic food, all home cooked and fresh local produce. We would highly recommend. We will definitely be back. "
