The Sylvia Hotel is a beautiful, historic hotel with a lot of charm. Our room and bathroom were very spacious with large windows and lots of light. It was convenient to the water taxi at False Creek to go to the Granville Market and also to the sea wall walk and Stanley Park.

The room and stay was great. Breakfast in the restaurant was terrible… but they were happy to fix it. Lots of other dining options in the area. I’ll definitely stay again but will avoid the restaurant ..for breakfast anyhow.

It's a great location, close to ocean and Stanley Park. Hotel itself is dated but has charm. I'd guess Canadians appreciate that more than other countries. We managed to walk from hotel and all around the city including Granville Isl without calling on public transport or cab. So it's a recommendation.
