Great location as the hotel is tucked away on a side street off the main road. Excellent options for food, plenty of convenience stores around and the metro within a short walk away or the JR station 10 mins walk via the back streets avoiding the main road leading to either Electric town or Ameyoko market opposite direction to each other.

Arrived early after a long flight and was able to check in early for a small fee. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable room with all that we needed. Water refill and other hot drinks available at reception. 7-11 and restaurants nearby. Great location near to Senso-ji temple and the river. Very close to subway stations with great access to other Tokyo districts. Would recommend this hotel.

We had an amazing stay at Mimaru Tokyo Ueno Inaricho. Everything was perfect for us as a family of 3. The room was a great size with plenty of space to relax after a long day of walking. The location of the hotel is brilliant. The street that it is located on is quiet, but you are within a 15 minute walk to the heart of Ueno, and it is so well connected, with Ueno station about 10-15 minutes walk and Inaricho station about 5 minutes walk. It really is the perfect base to explore Tokyo.

Perfect location to access all the must see places. Close to a main station. The staff were really accommodating and even helped to sort the baggage to be forwarded which was a huge help. The room had all the amenities we required and was perfect for what we needed. We would definitely return.

Hotel was very nice , great facilities including drinks available, all the essentials in the small kitchenette and staff very friendly. If I had to pick one area to improve it would be the breakfast could be more varied and include more fresh fruit, but really was an excellent base in Tokyo for a short stay.

Quiet area, ideal for family with children. Walking distance to Ueno station. Lawsons and 7-Eleven and few restaurants nearby. Room and facilities were great and staff were excellent and very welcoming. Great base to explore Tokyo. Loved our stay. Thank you very much.

10 min walk to JR Ueno or JR Okachimachi station. 7/11, Lawson nearby. Well equipped apartment, spacious, good bed. Air condition was not in best shape-it was not perfect for hot Tokyo. We used laundry machine within the apartment, which was very convenient-washing gel together with basic toiletries is provided at the reception.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel, we especially enjoyed it being traditional Japanese. We slept on Futons which were comfortable but needed a bit of getting used to. The room was clean and spacious. There is a private bath (in the style of an onsen) that can be rented for an hour, which we really enjoyed. Staff was helpful and spoke English well.

About Ueno
The home of the lovely Ueno Park and plentiful cultural sights, Ueno is one of the best areas of Tokyo for visiting tourists to base themselves. These attractions combine with easy access. Keisei-Ueno Station is the end of the line for trains from Narita Airport. Ueno Station is a few hundred metres away and has trains to Ginza and other major Tokyo locations.
Don’t MissUeno Park is an amazing place and the site of the National Museum of Western Art, the Nature and Science Museum, the Tokyo City Art Museum and the Ueno Royal Museum. The Western Art Museum covers 500 years of art and houses masterpieces by the likes of Rubens, Monet, Van Gogh and Jackson Pollock. The Science Museum traces Japanese history from pre-historic times with numerous interesting exhibits.
KiyomizuKannon-do Temple is at the south end of the park and dates from the 17th century. Its red walls and sweeping roof protect a statue of the goddess KosodateKannon. Legend has it that giving a doll to Kosodate will help women get pregnant. A walkway across the nearby Shinobazu Lake gives access to the Benten-do Temple.
Ueno Zoo is the other key tourism draw in the park. More than 2,000 animals call the zoo home. These includered and giant pandas, Barbary sheep and gorillas. Highlights in the bird section are owls and eagles. The zoo stands on the grounds of the former Kanei-ji Temple. The temple’s five-floor pagoda has been preserved. Ueno Park has a sizable collection of sakura cherry blossom trees and these are a wonderful sight every spring.
Restaurants and BarsThe bulk of the bar and dining options in this part of Tokyo are between UenoStation and the park. Diners can choose anything from special eel dishes and ramen noodles to tonkatsu pork and juicy US burgers. There are a couple of pubs on the station themed on British and Irish ones. Innsyouteiin the Park offersa premium dining experience.
ShoppingAmeya-YokochoMarket is a Ueno shopping highlight and is home to around 200 stalls. The collection of products covers second-hand clothing, watches, bags, fresh seafood and sweets. There are outlets of brand-names such as Crocs and Diesel Jeans in this area plus a Yodobashi appliance and IT product store.
