"Our flight from Canada was delayed to the point where we arrived about half an hour before check out. We had time for a 3 hour layover before our next flight and the staff made sure we were able to sleep the whole time by providing a late checkout. We truly appreciated it! "

"Cannot get any closer to airport! Stunning main entrance to the hotel. Rooms were very comfortable, lots of thoughtful touches. Beds were extremely soft and comfy, very good nights sleep! Barely any noice considering you’re at Gatwick. Well air conditioned rooms. Clean corridors. Easy to navigate the hotel. "

"Changes to my itinerary that were outside of my control meant I could not complete my stay. I advised staff several months before, acknowledging their no refunds policy. I asked if it was possible to obtain a credit note for future use and was told a flat NO and that they were not part of the wider Hampton group and independent. I asked if I could get a credit note for their specific hotel and again told NO, yet I would bet that knowing I would be a no show they will have resold the room. Overall I would never deal with this hotel again and would warn others not to either. "

"Fantastic stay (again) at Vertus Edit. Clean, modern, well equipped studio, convenient for travel connections (Jubilee line, Elizabeth line and DLR are all within 5-10 minutes walk) plus the offices, shops, bars and restaurants of Canary Wharf."

"Great location - close to Canary Wharf station (if you know the way that is!), good range of restaurants nearby, super staff. Shame the bathroom smelled of pets!"

"No kettle in room or cups. Reception/Bar refuses to give you cups for your room. No hair dryer. No iron. No fridge. No safe. Room is completely barron of any facilities. Its a beautiful room on the river, but that is literally all you get. Dont expect anything else other than this. Breakfast was absolutely shocking. They served very old, stale hash browns and own-brand supermarket equivalent sausages. Thats it. No bacon, no eggs, no anything. You get hash brown and sausage. If you go to the continental you see a tray of soggy wet cheese and ham. I couldnt believe it. I asked staff if more was coming, he said no. This is all there is. And it was the middle of breakfast time, not near the end. Truly, come here for the hotel river view, its good. But dont buy breakfast, and dont expect anything other than to sleep here and leave. "
