"The location of the hotel is terrific. Our room had no hot water and when I told the front desk staff - the answer was the hot water comes from tanks on the roof. The lower floors need to run the water for a long time to get hot water. This answer did not really satisfy me as I ran the water for 10 minutes. A hot shower on a rainy cold day would have been nice, and quite frankly expected from an expensive hotel in NYC."

"Our AC didn’t work the first night. They did repair it pretty promptly, but we ended up having to change rooms and they gave us a small credit for that inconvenience. Everything was relatively clean, but it is an older hotel with dark carpet. I kept my socks on. The bathroom was very clean. I did see a roach in the middle of the night in the bathroom. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It’s a good location. I booked it because of the rooftop pool which ended up not being open because it doesn’t open till after Memorial Day a real bummer since we had 95° days the week before Memorial Day. This was not well advertised and I would not have stayed there had I known this. This was a package deal through Expedia, which turned out to be pretty good as it was close to where I needed to be. Not sure I would stay there again though."
