"Other than a ten minute wait when I first arrived (the proprietors were off site) my stay was amazing. The proprietors were helpful and welcoming and the room spacious, warm and comfortable. It includes a good sized fridge, microwave and kettle so those on a budget can do basic meal prep. I love being out in Edinburgh but its also nice to have a comfortable base to return to at night. The proprietor also allowed me to leave my car parked out front for a few hours after checked out for another trip into town. All round a really good experience."

"Hotel is located adjacent to Holyrood Park which is wonderful for going for a stroll or a hike up Arthur's Seat. Restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk away. There is health club access which is about a 15-20 minute walk away. The restaurant is excellent, we had dinner there once and the food was very good and the service was very friendly and attentive with the staff chatting with diners. The breakfast buffet was very good (cereal, yogurt, fruit, pancakes, croissants, cinnamon rolls, juice, coffee, cheese & salami/ham/etc) as well as hot items that could be ordered included in the breakfast fee. It is about a 30 minute walk to the castle/Royal Mile which was very manageable (or easily accessed with an Uber). The hotel leaves umbrellas in the lobby to borrow which is a nice touch as it rains regularly in Scotland. Rooms are clean and modern. Would definitely recommend this hotel!"

"Please do not be put off by the negative reviews. I was worried after checking the reviews after booking the reservation, but the hotel and room were clean. Fresh towels and sheets were provided. There is an electric kettle with supplies for making quick tea. There is good parking at the back, and a bus stop right in front of the hotel. It was not noisy. The staff and other guests were polite. The hotel also has a lovely little dining room. It is clearly stated that towels and bedsheets are replaced every other day, which we were fine with. The check-in and check-out process was quick and hassle-free. Overall it was a good deal. "
