"Constant noise - from outside (expected), but our room was next to the maid’s station so all day and evening we got to listen to people talking and working right outside our door. Make sure you ask for a room farther away from the elevator."

"If your purpose for traveling to New York is to see a Broadway show, you can’t beat this location. Just a warning that the bathroom in our room was tiny, and the elevators were very slow. We were there the weekend the hotel reopened after a few years, so there were a few hiccups since it was the first day back. That being said, all the staff we interacted with were extremely helpful and kind, and made a tremendous effort to resolve any issues."

"Concierge couldn’t understand us very well. Also it said broadway tix were half price on the weekend but that wasn’t true. We got wayyyy cheaper on ticket master. Refillable water station on floor 18 was terrible!! Undrinkable! Sink water was better. Good location and friendly staff. Red wine was good."

"The location is perfect! The reviews of others saying it’s cramped have never stayed in an upper Manhattan hotel, as that’s the norm for even the big brand hotels. The lobby is super nice, the rooms are small and a bit outdated but overall there’s nothing wrong with it! Great place minutes from Times Square, and the theaters! Subway isn’t far, and hailing a taxi or uber isn’t difficult most days. I plan to stay again!"

"This location is perfect if you want to see a lot in a short amount of time. Its a short walk to Times Square & Broadway and many other things. Also located across from the Penn station which was convienent for getting to from the airport (I came in from Newark). Plenty close to spots with ATMs, food, & convenience stores). Room was clean every day. Staff were all very friendly & helpful. The Rueben in the Tiktok restaurant downstairs was good and came out quick. It was also open 24/7 which was great when I forgot to eat all day and realized how hungry I was late at night. All that said when I make it back to New York I will definitely book The New Yorker again. And will recommend it to others planning on going to NYC."
