Singapore is one of South East Asia’s most family friendly destinations. Top attractions in Singapore such as Universal Studios, sky towers, butterfly parks, aquariums, water parks and plenty of other fun things to do will keep the family entertained for days. There’s an abundance of family friendly hotels in Singapore, dotted around this green, modern city. These hotels have amenities for young children as well as services to help parents with keeping the children entertained during their hotel stay. The best family hotels are found in the central business district and on Sentosa Island.
Most Singapore hotels have high quality amenities and professional, friendly staff. Travelling with children to tourist attractions in Singapore from any hotel in the central business district and on Sentosa Island is easy thanks to the extensive public transport system and convenient taxi services. Parents can easily navigate pushchairs on the wide, spotlessly clean pavements.
There are a number of family friendly hotels centrally located near the top Singapore shopping area of Orchard Road, with a huge choice of four-star properties like the Mandarin Orchard Road, Pan Pacific Orchard and the Shangri La Hotel Singapore with its swimming pool, tennis courts and ponds nestled in 15 acres of gardens. Among other slightly cheaper options in this area are the York Hotel and the Sheraton Towers Singapore. These have pools and other facilities to entertain children.
On Sentosa Island, just a 15-minute drive from the central business district, there is a huge selection of family friendly hotels. The upscale Shangri La Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa has a jungle-themed club area for children, while older children can chill out in the Cool Zone’s massive tree house. Teenagers will adore Hard Rock Hotel Singapore with its extravagant rock star rooms styled like houses on the MTV show Cribs.
Near the famous Gardens by the Bay lie various other child-friendly hotel options in SIngapore, mostly upscale properties like the Marina Mandarin, Pan Pacific Singapore and the Marina Bay Sands, which has so much for children to do with its rooftop infinity pool, boat ride through The Shoppes and a few hours of ice-skating. Parents wanting some adult-only time can leave their children at QUBES, an awesome kids’ club inside the shopping centre. It’s full of Play Station, PC and X-Box games, internet stations and DVDs.
