"Checked in one hour early at 3pm which was excellent seeing the hotel was very busy the night before with guests who had stayed to attend Universal Studios Hollywood Horror Nights. The new Ozzy Osbourne feature had long lines to enter and Sharon Osbourne and Jack Osbourne attended. The hotel has been going through some renovations which are due to finish soon.The hotel is walking distance from Universal Studios and you can walk to it but now to even enter Universal City Walk you have to go through security which is new as this was not in place 2 months ago and they have built a large fence all around City Walk. I personally think this may lose City Walk business if people are put through a security scanner especially when itโs busy & could result in a long wait to enter City Walk. I can understand this security checks for the studio but not for City Walk and what they have done looks a total mess. The easiest way to get from the hotel and back is to use the free shuttle which you catch outside the main entrance of the hotel. Kevin Finister had arranged for us to have our favourite room on the 24th Floor. Kevin is always helpful and wants all the guests to have a good time. The atmosphere at the hotel is the best and one of the reasons we stay at this hotel even if we are not planning to visit Universal Studios. The room was excellent,& the air conditioning works to perfection. The WiFi is fast and stable. I think maybe they need to install some USB-C ports next to the bed"
