Serris is a suburb of Paris. It sits just outside the grounds of Disneyland Paris and the Walt Disney Studios Park. As such, it is a popular holiday spot for families visiting the theme parks. The centre of the town features a large lake, a vast shopping centre and a spacious park.
Take a taxi to Disneyland Paris with the kids and enjoy the magical ambiance inside. It is one of the most visited attractions in Europe. Join children on the calmer rides. If you are feeling brave, try a thrilling roller coaster, such as Space Mountain.
Make your way to the Walt Disney Studios Park. See the Earful Tower, a Mickey Mouse version of Paris’s most famous iconic building it resembles a water tower. Enjoy the ride, learn about the making of movies at the Production Courtyard and watch stunt shows in the Backlot area.
Once back in the centre of Serris, have a picnic in the spacious Parc des Communes, known as the green lung of the city. Play sports with the kids and stroll through the trees and hedges. Watch locals playing the French sport of pétanque on one of the 13 lawns.
The Vallée Village commercial centre north of Serris provides excellent shopping in its many boutiques. Dine at one of the cafés and restaurants in the large complex or watch a movie in one of the many theatres. Sea Life Aquarium is located in the middle of the shopping centre. Learn about its fish, feed its turtles and see fearsome creatures, such as rays and sharks.
Serris is a charming destination in the Seine-et-Marne department in northern France. It is about 25 miles (40.2 kilometres) east of the centre of Paris and close to the town of Melun. The area usually experiences warm to hot summers and cold winters with a few weeks of snowfall covering the surrounding countryside in a beautiful blanket of white.
