"Receptionists and drivers (especially Ali) were very helpful and accommodating. We had a fantastic time here.
Hotel food was amazing and the pool was nice and well maintained.
Hard to get to supermarkets and convenience stores by foot, requires transport to get everywhere.
Transfers were a little expensive, but readily available via the hotel"

"The View to Mount Etna was the best, the garden house was well looked after so you enjoy the green areas and the calmness there. wished to spend more time there but had plans to go out for most of the day so was good overall. would definitely recommend it for couples who want to escape the city and enjoy the view."

Beautiful hotel, very modern, very clean. Comfy beds, beautiful pool. Breakfast very nice selection of hot and cold food. Staff and service exceptional. Price reasonable. Only downside is expensive drinks from poolside bar.

We loved our stay at Donna Carmela, beautiful boutique hotel, no expense has been spared in making it as nice as possible. Staff were charming, and the off season prices were very reasonable. That part of Sicily is very built up but the hotel is an oasis of peace.

Stayed here for 4 nights with friends. Drove past the entrance on arrival and had to take a detour to get back to it but once we arrived what a lovely surprise. The hotel staff are lovely. Our rooms both had French doors that led out onto the garden which was a nice place to gather and have a drink in the evening. The hotel is situated next to a busy road and railway line but we did not notice any excessive noise. We ate in the restaurant a couple nights and would also recommend this. The...

Privacy and delightedness are a must in this wonderful hotel. I also highlight the design of the Spa and swimming pool, the rooms and of course the restaurant. Last but not the least, a very kind and helpful staff.

We have stayed in 5* hotels worldwide. However I need to admit, this little hotel exceeded our expectations. The service from the start to the end was pure class. Before arriving at the hotel, I emailed regarding airport transfer and it was arranged within minutes. I also asked for an iron, and the iron was placed in our room before our arrival.
My husband had a wonderful massage with Jacqueline. Absolutely first class. And I needed to do my hair for a wedding we were attending, however the...

Our family of two adults and two small children stayed in apartment five which has two bedrooms and a large terrace so perfect for families.
Everything was clean and functional, staff were helpful and friendly and the hotel restaurant was great with daily specials. The breakfast included within our rate was buffet style and there was plenty on offer. We asked for some advice on the right way to visit Etna and were provided with an abundance of tips, maps and guidance. There appears to be some...

There are absolutely no negatives about this hotel. It is family run, everyone was so friendly, the service was exceptional and it was very clean both inside the hotel and outside around the swimming pool. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, providing that you appreciate that it is in Sicily and not England, and the evening meal we had in the hotel restaurant was excellent and very reasonable. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the small fishing town and there are plenty of great...

we stayed for one night it is more like business hotel , it was in good location (some moles around and 30 minutes drive to the air port ) plenty of free parking lots , and a modern building. the Hotel is charging extra's for the use of the SPA , also we wanted to eat some Pizza which we bought out side and the restorant worker did not let is seat in front of the resturant ... so we need to eat it at our room. beside that the Hotel was very nice.

I didn’t want to leave! This is a beautiful hotel with what feels like botanical gardens, an amazing pool and right on the beach with Etna always visible. The staff are all super friendly from reception, to the pool bar to the wine bar, and can help to book taxis. The pool and main restaurant served great food and if you want a cheaper meal there is a local restaurant next door on the beach.
It is quite remote if you don’t have a car so ensure to book taxis early as they are pricey. We walked...

We stayed here at the end of our Sicilian trip and used it as a base for both the north and south approach to Etna. It was just the bit of luxury we needed. The hotel really is perched on the edge of the cliff with moth a large pool (looking out to sea) and steps in to the sea complete with sea front solarium.
The rooms have everything you need, the standard is fairly basic but does the job the classic is that little bit more comfortable ( we were upgraded part was through the stay due to...

10 out of 10 experience, my only advice is for the hotel to start modernise the interior before it gets to the point were people feel it is an outdated hotel.
I would retouch the rooms with some plaster and withe paint, and change the carpets that look have been layed 40 years ago.
I would have expected a fine dining experience at the restaurant, instead I found QR code rather than a good old and timeless paper menu, and please do not serve condiments in a light blue plastic container, it...

Excellent throughout. Close enough to enjoy the city center (15mins by car) and beach (20mins by car), without getting caught up in the hustle and bustle of crowds.
Exceptional staff, both caring and informative.
