"It was very convenient for chapel down wines where we had arranged a tasting and dinner. Parking was good.
The staff at the hotel were great.
We ate lunch there one day and dinner one night the food was very good and reasonable.
The cooked breakfast was excellent. My only criticism was the coffee there was only filter coffee available."
"Lovely hotel, not huge so personal feel. Absolutely spotless. Staff friendly and lovely pool. Very relaxing break.
Worth noting there is no lift so had to use stairs. Not an issue for us but worth knowing if you do struggle with stairs so you can ask for an accessible room. Will stay there again."
"If you want an authentic old English Hotel then this is for you. It was really old with oak beams everywhere but still clean. Pub seems to be the Hub of the village so also a good vibe. The village is really really quiet"
"We had a wonderful stay, thankyou to all the reception and bar staff who were so helpful and attentive, and Teri for the housekeeping of our room. We would definitely stay there again."
"We loved this hotel, beauty surrounded us, spacious accommodation and very comfortable bed !!!
Great quality linens, toiletries and fabrics made this visit a REAL JOY!!
and the lakes are a glorious bonus too!!"
"Unique old hotel . Bathroom very small for a deluxe room , only a double bed which we thought was odd for a deluxe room .
Nice toiletries and tea/coffee available. Bedding good quality. Very friendly staff .
Noisy location but was a main road so expected . Should have asked for a room at the back .
Would stay again , great location for Vinyards !"
"Probably the most quirky place I have stayed, ( except Frog Manor in Cheshire which I think is now closed ) fab relaxed atmosphere, great English wines, the staff are very helpful 👍"
