Immaculately presented and well located city centre hotel. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby offering both comfort food and more traditional Icelandic cuisine. Breakfast buffet was amply sized which set us up nicely for our day trips. Room was comfortable and suitably warm. Housekeeping always ensured it was well presented with what seemed like a million cushions each time we returned in the evening. Although we didnโt drink there, the bar looked cosy, and had a warming fire each time we...

The rating is actually 4.5 and its just because on our first day, our towels smelled so musty so we had to have them replaced. Also the corridors can be very noisy especially since the doors are heavy and slams if not guided to a close. If your room is close to the Spa, the geothermal smell (sulphurish) can be smelt in your room though that is not the hotels fault at all.
The reason I continued to give it 5 stars though is because these things are bearable and is not entirely a deal breaker...

The views and amenities for this place are amazing. The apartment had absolutely everything you could want. The host was very happy to show us around and made us feel very welcome. The hot tub was just the "icing on the cake" for us - many thanks.
I have never slept in such a comfy bed!!
I would highly recommend both apartment & location x

All the staff were Great answers all our questions. Our Hotel room was a nice size & clean.Breakfast was fine wished the Orange Juice would have been freshly squeezed rather than out of a machine. We went on a few Trips that were Fantastic like the Flyover theatre & The Perlan Museum that we both Enjoyed. Iceland is an expensive place to visit. Eating out was pricey The Taxis were very Expensive

Great Hotel, perfect location for the Bus Transfers to the airport and downtown. We did not use the facilities of the hotel as we where out all the time, but room was nice and right next to a bakery for breakfast if you want something less expensive in the morning. As down town there is merriment noise into the early hours to be heard if you need the window open like we do, fine with treble glassing closed. Definitely would go back.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely short stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, with great service and attentiveness. The hot pool was fun and we had it all to ourselves while it snowed. Perfect location to do a bit of local sightseeing and relax.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel during our visit to Iceland. We stayed in their cottage, and everything about the experience was perfect from start to finish. The cottage was cozy, comfortable, and a wonderful place to relax after a day of exploring.
The owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed, which made our stay even more special. The location is also ideal - peaceful and perfectly situated for spotting the incredible Northern Lights....

The Artist Lodge is the highlight of our round trip this autumn. Itโs located close to a peaceful fjord, yet well connected to the capital and route 1. Weโre glad to choose it as our final stop this time, to have a well relaxed farewell to Iceland. Guests can enjoy a natural hot spring 24/7.

The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking a large meal for four. There is a supermarket within a 20 minute drive and a few restaurants. The lodge itself was lovely and warm and ideal for a quiet evening trying to see the northern lights. It was perfect for our last two nights in Iceland as it's 30 mins from the Blue Lagoon and 13 minutes to the airport. Will definitely look to stay here on our next trip to Iceland.

Really lovely apartment in a superb central location. The bed was extremely comfortable. Having a dishwasher and a washing machine was an added bonus. We were 2 adults and 2 teens and a one bed apartment was pretty tight, so would recommend going for a bigger apartment if staying more than a few nights but the location, facilities and great service made up for the squeeze! Good value for money.

Lovely stay (eventually) had a hiccup on the first night when someone had taken our room before we arrived! (Not good when arriving late at 9pm and just wanting to get settled)! The staff when we rang were incredibly apologetic about the mix up (not their fault) and made every effort to rectify as quickly as possible. Canโt fault the customer service. Purposely booked to be out of the way and in our 3 night stay we saw the Northern Lights each night.
