We had a great stay here, a very luxurious modern apartment for the price we paid and just a stones through from the river with beautiful views and a reasonable walk into centre of Florence, which took about 15-20 mins. Over our short 3-night stay we had housekeeping services and a personal touch of a note to acknowledge a celebration during our trip. Very conveniently located & I doubt wether you could stay in a more beautiful hotel in Florence for the price. The room we stayed in was big, the buffet breakfast was impressive and the staff were nothing short of exceptional when it came to customer service. Recommend this hotel to anyone.

Just returned from 5 nights at the outstanding Grand Hotel Villa Cora - surely the jewel of Florentine hotels. Palazzo Castri 1874 is an excellent boutique hotel located a short walk from the main Santa Maria Novella (SMN) railway station. My husband and I had a fantastic stay at the Grand Hotel Minerva. The location is minutes from the train station on a lovely pedestrianised piazza, and walking distance to the main attractions. The staff were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay - we hadn’t booked tickets to the sights but they managed to get us tickets for the Accademia to see the statue of David. Located through a huge arched doorway into a small courtyard, the lift up to the reception on the second floor is on your right. We arrived slightly early but were able to check in straight away - we even got an upgrade to a superior room. The staff were very welcoming and the hotel extremely comfortable. We arrived in the evening and the check-in was smooth and quick, we were shown to our room which was a basic classic room which was clean and roomy for the two of us. Perfect breakfast, with a complimentary 10 minute massage after - made for an excellent start to the day. Great central location, close to everything. Relaxed atmosphere. Brilliant that the gym next door can be used for free. Very happy staying here.
