"This was our first time staying in this area and Iโ€™m so glad we did! The lodge is beautiful, situated overlooking a wee loch and hills. It was bright, spacious, clean and well equipped. Each bedroom has itโ€™s own en-suite, handy when there are a few of you. The lovely part is the patio doors that lead out to the veranda from both the main bedroom (beautiful view to wake up to!) and the large kitchen/diner, so you have this amazing landscape right in front of you. McKays Hotel Bar & Restaurant

McKays Hotel Bar & Restaurant

8/10 Good
"Overall really nice stay. Spacious and clean room with windows you can actually open ! Comfy bed but pillows could have been better (bigger). Tip - get there early if you are driving as the car park takes around 10 cars and it was full so be prepared to park a couple of streets away like we had to. Football on the telly in tha bar and on a very large screen off the lounge. Bar a wee bit on the expensive side. Evening entertainment in the bar catered to a wide taste. Location was great, bang smack in the centre of town near the bus and train station Staff were lovely all round. Lastly, the breakfast was just fantastic."

The room was well-appointed and comfortable, the host, Greg, was charming and wonderful (his recommendations for stops on the way into the Highlands were top-tier), the food was delicious, and the property was absolutely gorgeous (as a gardener, I must sayโ€ฆ). A short walk through the gardens into town was a perfect way to be introduced to such a lovely, lovely place."

"I spent two nights at the Spa hotel. I managed to park in the adjacent hotel car park which was very convenient. My room was great with a large TV , coffee machine, fridge and kettle. A proper bath in the en suite. Plenty of hangers. Breakfast was plentiful and a good variety. The only downside of my stay was I was housed in a separate building to the main hotel. This meant I had to walk outside onto the pavement and cross a road to access my room. However you were away from the noise of the main hotel."
