"Floor was not clean upon check in. Bare bones room with no chair in room. Expensive parking. Great view but that's it. "

"First I will start with the positive things about this establishment. It is right on the beach, pacific beach to be exact. There is a lot to see and do in the area. A nice path to walk, restaurants, bars, etc. Upon arrival, the staff was very courteous and accommodating when checking In. The hot tub and pool area is a bit small but still pretty nice. It has an ocean view. Now for the not so positive parts. The room was old and smelled musty. The bathroom sink was probably the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel. The shower had no barrier, so water just drained into the middle of the bathroom next to the toilet. So essentially you can expect to get wet feet, even when you don’t want to. I have never seen anything like it. Now to the worst part, if you don’t pay the exorbitant premium fee for an ocean view room, you will be banished to a second building with views of a plethora of questionable homeless people. I was followed by a deranged man in a bath robe. There was another barefoot man sweeping the ground with a towel starting at 5am. Another man nearby my room screaming obscenities at passersby and birds. The whole area smelled of urine and bodily fluids. I don’t think that the price per night aligned with what I was subjected to at this establishment and they should really put effort into cleaning that disaster up. Overall the staff was nice and doing their best, but I think some improvements can be made regarding the other things mentioned. "

"The room was clean. AC was ok. Parking was easy and close. The room we had was downstiars and the guests above us sounded like they were stomping the whole time. Microwave available outside near the pool- that really should be inside somewhere. "
