Really nice hotel with a pleasant roof terrace and great staff; the free coffee all day was a nice touch as were the free croissants first thing. Lots of interesting food options nearby - iconic dining at: The Roxy; Bubby’s and Katz Diner were all only a short walk away. There are good transport connections via the nearby subway station and it sits in a very friendly and safe neighbourhood on the border between Chinatown and Little Italy.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. Room was spacious and clean and the staff were lovely. It would benefit from a hotel bar but we very much appreciated the bottle of wine!

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous rooms and interior décor. The gym is basic but functional and the sauna/steam is fantastic. Location on the northern edge of Greenpoint is decent.

Staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful.
Rooms are very clean but they are small and can feel a bit cramped.
Showers have great water pressure.
Breakfast is served every morning and it tastes amazing with a steady rotation of breakfast staples meaning we never had the same breakfast twice in our 7 day stay.
My only grumble is that the walls seem quite thin and you can hear sounds in the corridor and from outside quite clearly.

What I liked most was the consistently friendly and accommodating staff. This was my third stay at NU Hotel, and on each occasion the team has been very helpful with individual requests, which I really appreciated.
I also love the character of the hotel. My room had a beautiful, colourful mural, which made it feel much more unique and personal than a typical hotel room. The room was clean and comfortable, and the gym is another great feature, especially for a longer stay.
Overall, NU Hotel has...

Rooms - Massive in comparison to other hotels I usually stay at like Penny & Arlo. My room was a bit bare and could have used an armchair. I stayed in Room 206 with a view onto the roadside but it was super quiet which is exactly what I needed.
2) Amenities - The pool wasn't open sadly when I was staying but the rooftop bar was open on the weekend and was such a great vibe.
The coffee / bar area is big and serves the usual drinks and snacks and there's also plenty of dining room if you want to...

In the heart of bay ridge where I grew up. Train station is about 2 minutes away which was so convenient especially since I was travelling with two kids. The only thing I was not happy about was the fact that the hotel smelled of weed - ALOT. In and out it smelled so heavily of it. Also being told I can do a later checkout but on the day I was told I cannot. Communication needs improvement between staff and customer, other than that wouldn’t change anything.
